Home, Home on the Range

When Anoukisse bought Farmer Yoon's ranch, she was hoping to settle down and have a quiet place to call home. Earning a peaceful living certainly was much harder than she expected, but she persevered, and soon work contracts were pouring in!

Enchanted Enchantors

Here are two other looks for those wanting to put together an Enchantor's outfit or possibly a witch's costume.

This is one of those rare posts where I have chosen not to actually farm the outfits because I have one I very much like and I don't plan to transmogrify this type of look. Not in the near future anyway. That's all Anou needs—more people asking for enchants. ;)

Featured above left: Skywitch Hat, Lesser Wizard's Robe, High Councillor's Sash, Dress Shoes, High Councillor's Gloves, Flesh Piercer, Tome of Shadow Force.

Featured above right: Red Pointy Hat, Crimson Silk Robe, Vindicator's Mooncloth Slippers, Torturing Poker, Furbolg Medicine Pouch.

Now, in my defense, when I put these outfits together quite some time ago, I had no idea that the red hat and robe combination were an actual set. I was looking for something that would be relatively easy for anyone to put together, something that matched nicely and wasn't too expensive. Most of these items are either quest rewards or tailored pieces, very easy to find on any realm.

If you're unlucky as I was, Anou had already completed the quests for the hats and missed her chance to save them. Luckily though, a friend led me to a spot where a series of quests end with a reward that is the exact replica of the black and purple one, with the added perk of being a shape-shifting item!

P.S. My Wow Model Viewer is broken with a known yet unfixed bug: Several races keep their eyes closed. Blood Elf females and Night Elf males are two of those.

Updated Chef

Pilfering rice from the trolls wasn't such a great idea. After catching her for the second time, it was off to the kitchens for Anou, to cut up, debone and fillet a rather large bowl of raw slitherskin mackerel.

"Ugh. More fish."

Yes. My head almost popped off too when I realized the axe was actually a dagger. I must say, THANK YOU BLIZZARD! for giving us caster-types a way to carry something that looks appropriate for the kitchen! Now, let's just hope we get to keep daggers in MoP!

The Enchanter

Anou's Enchanting Office

Please stay behind the line and take a number.
Then, I don't want to see you until your name is called.

Thank you,
The Management

You can't see it in these photos, but Anou's got Torch of Austen equipped in the wand slot, you know, to light the darker corners of the office (or to hold back an angry mob screaming for enchants after a raid). In the bottom screenshot, the belt was removed and I've swapped the pouch for Lantern of Enchanted Flame. I looked for a pair of purple gloves that would not become soulbound, but had no luck.

There are two other pouches that can be used if you want to set up your own enchanting outfit in a different color: Khadgar's Knapsack and Lost Bag of Whammies. In my case, I built my outfit around the hat because it's a shape-shifting item, and I didn't want to have extra slots taken up for a second hat. Furthermore, in my opinion, the Torturing Poker looks like an enchanting rod, so I chose the Furbolg Pouch as a "Hypnotic Dust container" to match it. The Torturing Poker itself has look-alikes, but this one is a dagger that I can equip at the same time as the pouch.

The office is now closed.

Go away.
Before I turn you into a Soul Shard.

Thank you,
The Management

The Gardener

One of the participants of the Worst-Dressed Warlock contest was the author of the blog Tome of the Ancients. Her entry was creative, different, and dare I say, very unique. She took a completely different approach to her entry and it inspired me to replicate that outfit on Anou. ("Shamefully rip-off" seems more appropriate, but I couldn't help myself!) It is the most adorable herbalist/gardener outfit I have ever seen, although I admit it looks better on a Human--Blood Elves are too skinny.

Originally, I thought to hand the outfit over to my priest who is my herbalist/alchemist, but quite honestly my warlock is my dress-up 'toon, so I felt she absolutely needed to have it. It is on Lyv's wishlist though, so some time in the future I'll be hooking her up too.

My favorite part of TotA's outfit, I think, is that she tied the flowers into the hat to bring that red accent color out, leaving the rest of the outfit neutral. In turn, this made me want to study the details of the screenshot even more. She even thought of gloves and a gardening tool, which makes the outfit look finished. Finally, the backdrop puts this outfit in a whole different ball park.

If you want to make a gardener out of your own character, really, there is just no end to the combinations you can pull together for this outfit. The overalls, in my opinion are simply a must, but you can use any assortment of "tools" and flowers, though I would stress matching the flowers to another item for that certain je ne sais quoi. You can also add any color shirt under the overalls for an added pop of color!

Below, I combined all non-soulbound items (except for the overalls) to achieve the same look, albeit much simpler, yet without the hassle of finding empty bank slots to store each piece when you're not sporting the look.

Chef Anoukisse

After having mastered yet another level of cooking, Anou has won the "Chef" title. How better to put her skills to use than to cook up a storm in Orgrimmar.

The Brewfest set, along with the official Chef's hat are perfect for this outfit, along with various special off-hand weapons. In her inventory, Anou has Flesh and Bone (featured below) and Old Crafty. However, any number of miscellaneous fish can be held in your off-hand, as well as some weapons that my warlock can't equip unfortunately. (For example the Spider Splatter Mace, or Cookie's Tenderizer.)

Assistant Professor Anoukisse

When she has some free time, Anoukisse likes to explore the various dig sites around Azeroth in hopes of finding small pieces of legend and lore. Coming up with some of these outfits is a challenge since Warlocks can only wear cloth and they cannot equip maces or axes. The Mining Pick looks just like the tool used when characters prospect, so I actually bought one to complete this outfit!

Here's another shot of Anou, deep in the caves around Uldaman. This time she has brought out her trusty Lantern of Enchanted Flame to explore the darker niches of the ruins.

Teach a Girl To Fish...

In the following picture, Anoukisse is using the hard-earned epic Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole, but of course, any fishing pole will do. When she's fishing however, which she enjoys in the warmer parts of the Azeroth, she keeps cool and comfortable. You can switch the hat for Lucky Fishing Hat should you want to show it off. ;)

C'MON Old Crafty!

Ironically, after hours of trying for him, I actually managed to catch Old Crafty while taking the top picture!

Below, you can see Anou in her fishing garb in the swampy pools of Dustwallow Marsh. Not wanting to get leeches and Thrall-knows-what other kind of creepy-crawlies between her toes with just her flip-flops on, she pulls on her versatile thigh-high Recruit's Boots.

Wish I'd brought the bug spray.

Magar's New Protégé

Anoukisse picked up Tailoring as a profession from the get-go, mainly to be able to craft herself some gear. Being new to the game, gold was scarce but cloth was not! Now I'm glad I took the skill and leveled it up alongside my actual leveling because it lets me play dress-up!

First of all, I'd like to say that I love this robe. (Simple Robe is a versatile dress-of-many-names, which can be worn ever so simply yet for many different occasions. Change the color of the shirt for a more layered look: i.e. White Linen Shirt, Golden Filigreed Shirt, Amber Filigreed Doublet, you get the picture.) Its warm hues make it a good choice for the fall, but I find it works perfectly as a tailor's frock. The red part down the front looks like an apron, and the dress itself is simple enough to be worn everyday but has that extra dressmaker's touch with the pleats and buttons.
