Blue and Gold with Flickering Fel Flames

She won it. She earned her title. And now she is Anoukisse of the Black Harvest. (A story is in the works right now, detailing her quest towards the ultimate defeat of Kanrethad. When it is complete, I will try to remember to add a link here.)

A new outfit was most definitely called for, considering her recent status change. Thus ensued a long thought process revolving around the color of Fel energy. Everyone was going green though. Anou doesn't like to be like everyone else. And green is such a bad color; pasty and cadaverous, reminiscent of discharge and rot. (Or worse! Of balance, harmony and nature!) No. Anou wanted power and glory. She wanted those who looked upon her to hesitate between cowering in awe or running in fear. Royalty. Darkness. One of the Gifted few to be honored with the title for having brought the Leader of the Council of the Black Harvest to his knees.

Hence she got to work on her new trappings, meticulously earning, sewing, and fighting for this final look:

Featured above: Felheart Horns, Fissure-Split Shoulderwraps, Shroud of the Lore'nial, Soulcloth Gloves (which can easily be replaced by Lifedrainer's Sordid Grips (I am currently debating this, myself)), Crafted Dreadful Gladiator's Cord of Cruelty, Slippers of the Holy Light (remain to be changed to Faux Warlock Slippers), Soulkeeper.

What made Anou decide on these particular pieces was in fact that gold and navy stand for royalty and darkness. The gown holds hints of glowing greens and yellows that marry well with the new fel energy pulsing within her (not to mention matching her eyes). Of course, horns, to reinforce her demonic background, and howling satanic faces at her shoulders, spewing fel flames at those who get too close. Finally, a staff of green fire trapped in an ever-turning ring, proof to all that she has conquered the light in the darkness.

Tribal Warlock

Here is a transmog outfit Anou had been trying to pull together for quite some time. The dress is one of her two favorites, and she'd been yearning to make an outfit around it. The problem was that the dratted feathered shoulders were simply not dropping. (They finally did one night, when Mr. GM pushed her grumbling self into Zul'Aman to try for them, with her whining about the fact they would never drop... Oh, the irony.)

Featured above: Jan'alai's Spaulders, Cataclysmic Gladiator's Felweave Raiment, Gloves of Penitence, Contender's Silk Belt, Vindicator's Dreadweave Stalkers, Grand Magister's Staff of Torrents.

The shoulders and staff have the same kind of blue-ish glow to them, and if you're interested to replicate that glow somewhere else, I recommend Slippers of Moving Waters which are available for Justice Points. The staff was just one Anou happened to have on hand at the time of transmog, but Brutal Gladiator's Staff looks pretty darn awesome, and also has feathers, thus tying itself in with the shoulders too.

If you're looking to match a mount or pet, I haven't gone through them all purposefully, but I like Corrupted Fire Hawk and Hearthsteed as mounts, and Dark Phoenix Hatchling.

Now, in my opinion, if you happened to be a Troll Warlock, this outfit would look particularly fetching and racially-fitting due tot he feathers and stuff...

Pandaren-Themed T'mog

Anoukisse isn't really interested in the stiff curls of the Pandaren garb. But the colors on the next dress had her mind racing to create a new look...

Featured above: Helm of Arcane Purity, Shoulderpads of Knowledge's Pursuit, Robes of the Horned Nightmare, Zaetar's Gloves, Veteran's Silk Belt, Unassuming Slippers, Zhar'doom, Greatstaff of the Devourer.

Fel Armor

These are the only two screenshots I happen to have of her previous t-mog, and although I could probably get Anou to pose in the outfit again, she's a bit contrary lately and I don't feel like opposing her. (Read: all the stuff is in Void Storage and I don't feel like paying to get it all out and put it all back in again just for some screenshots). /cough

Featured above: Sanctified Dark Coven Shoulderpads, Gown of Spiritual Wonder, Felheart Belt, Exiled Dabbler's Gloves, Felheart Slippers, Fang of Venoxis.

What's nice is that the gloves are invisible when wearing a long-sleeved robe, because basically, they look like really long wrists. A t-moggers dream! :)

Unfortunately, I can't remember what the off-hand was for this set, I think it was Book of Highborn Hymns, but that's because I hadn't changed it from my previous t-mog.

Now, Fang of Venoxis is no longer available in game, so here are two daggers that would easily look just as good: Magaera's Poisoned Fang, but your guild would need to run ToT-H for you to be able to loot an agility dagger; Intricate Spellblade is a randomly dropped green that also looks very, very nice.

Official Business in Undercity

Anou was tired of looking green. It was a nice transmog, to be sure, but enough already... What it did to her lovely olive complexion was, well, let's just say she felt like she'd come out of the Undercity Beauty Parlor.

As she embarked on her quest for Fel Fire—yes, more green—she decided something bloody and sinister would be more appropriate. Black Temple is not the most colorful of places, and she felt that the glow from the skulls on her shoulders would help warm her and light her way.

Featured above: Merciless Gladiator's Dreadweave Mantle, Imperial Ghostbinder's Robes, Undying Shadow Grips, Runed Stygian Belt, Unassuming Slippers, Damnation.

The dresses with the plunging necklines and deep décolletées are her absolute favorite (because quite honestly, when you got it, flaunt it, and Anou is all about curb appeal), and tend to last longer as far as 'mogs go.

Here she is, above and below, looking down her nose at peasants in the throne room of the Ruins of Lordaeron, where they come to bring their commoners' gripes and complaints, and to thank the royalty by offering a chicken for their table... Yllap, the smallest of her bratty imps, presides over the meetings, cracking jokes and smirking at everyone, making it very hard for our dear Anou to keep her composure.

Where did Anou fly off to after her official business? :O

Editor's note: I wish the staff didn't glow green because of the enchant. Alas, we can't transmog 'chants yet. :/

Lor'Themar's Girl

With lore from the new patch gravitating around Blood Elves once more, Anou has decided to show off the colors of her kin, flaunting it in front of Hellscream without a care in the world.

"So, Yllap, how do I look?"

She was so adamant about this new transmog set that she even refused to participate in the new content when it arrived on Tuesday until she could farm enough Champion's Seals to buy her Sunreaver tabard (which, probably on account of lack of bank space, she had vendored quite a few patches ago). Thankfully, it was still available.

Back at home in Silvermoon City, to meet with...

Lor'Themar Theron & Co.

Featured above (and below): Shoulderpads of Knowledge's Pursuit, Sunreaver tabard, Scarlet Sin'Dorei Robes, Gloves of Tyri's Power, Felheart Belt, Boots of the Malefic, Fang of Venoxis, Book of Highborne Hymns.

Ok, so. The shoulders and dagger have a similar natural green-glow (amplified by the dagger's Jade Spirit enchant). The boots could easily be replaced by Felheart Slippers, but I preferred the grey-on-grey that was almost identical to the robe's hem, making the boots efface themselves. My ultimate goal is to make myself a Girdle of Ruination¹ to replace the Felheart Belt, but there is a lot of tedious farming involved that I haven't been motivated enough to do yet, considering I already had the Fel one and the green jewel in it brings the rest together just as nicely.

After her meeting with Theron (Azeroth's McSteamy?), Rommath and Brightwing, Anou accompanied Scout Captain Elsia to the Isle of Thunder, to aid in the war efforts there.

"You look that way, I'll look this way. Hiss if you see something."

¹Incidentally, I won the pattern off the auction house in a VERY tight and competitive bidding war with someone whom I won't name, but happened to see and thenceforth kept dibs on. After hours and hours, I was sitting at the kitchen table with my family, doing napkin math and guesstimation to figure out the last possible minute to bid on the pattern, my iPhone tucked beside me... My last bid went through and about 3 minutes after, my phone buzzed, and everyone at the table cheered! LOL

Fel Spider

Here is Anoukisse's newest transmog. I can't wear this kind of stuff IRL, so allow me to live vicariously through my Barbie. I mean Blood Elf.

Featured above: Mistyreed Shoulderpads, Hibernal Robe, Spelltwister's Gloves, Sorcerer's Belt of Final Winter, Ringo's Blizzard Boots, Regail's Crackling Dagger.

Now the plan is to pick up some wicked awesome swords for my Wrathguard that will match this glowy green...

Devil in Shadow

For the past month at least, Anou has been sporting this new look:

Negotiations Begin

Featured above: Shadowflame Mantle, Cataclysmic Gladiator's Felweave Raiment, Bombardment Bracers, Gloves of Penitence, Incineration Belt, Doomcaller's Footwraps, Sulfur Stave.

Azlikad, Anou's Wrathguard, seems to be going for a similar look, don't you think?

To complete the epic purpleness of this outfit, Anou has chosen her (recently) well-earned Corrupted Firehawk as mount of choice.

/mountspecial ;)

The Squid

Here is Anou's newest transmog outfit! I call this one "The Squid" because originally it matches those gross, wiggling shoulders. She won a whole bunch of stuff on a DS alt run last week and I was ready for a change. The starting off point was the chest piece, which was new, and I ran with that.

I find this look is sinister in a calm and deceiving sort of way. It mixes epic and tier pieces from different eras and a few odd choices that fit perfectly! All I need is a new weapon and off-hand to go with it, but I'm going to try to find something that overwrites Power Torrent's glow. (I'm open to suggestions, so please feel free to.. suggest!)

Dagrin Admires the Latex Sea Horse

Too cute.

Featured above: Doomcaller's Mantle, Robes of the Faceless Shroud, Bracers of the Black Dream, Lingering Illness, Slippers of the Holy Light, Rathrak, the Poisonous Mind.

Update: Last night, Sunday Aug. 19th, I won a book that matches this transmog set to a tee. Ironmender is a golden volume perfect for Anou's endless pursuit of knowledge. Also, in the screen caps below, Anou equipped her helm, Doomcaller's Circlet, which matches the shoulders and is part of the Warlock-specific tier 2.5 set obtained in Temple of Ahn'Qiraj.

Destruction Warlock

Contrary to some of her prior choices, Anoukisse was looking for a transmog outfit that suited her fiery training. She is a Destruction Warlock for crying out loud! Where is the evil? The chaos? The inferno?!

Heeeeere it is. Right here.

Fire and Chaos

"Drat! Missed these ones!"

Featured above: Dark Conjuror's Collar, Shawl of Wonderment, Valorous Deathbringer Robe, Sash of Potent Incantations, Zaetar's Gloves, Slippers of the Holy Light.

For some reason, my screenshots have been blurry lately. I'll have to check what's going on with that, so I apologize for the poor quality images. The robe is a Warlock-specific item obtained with a token. The weapon can be anything you choose, thanks to the dazzling, flaming effects of the Power Torrent enchantment, but what can you do. On the bright side, it costs less in transmog fees.

This outfit would probably look just as good with the Felheart Horns, although more and more I find they are over-used.

Shadows of the Magi

After that twin warlock incident (/shudder), Anoukisse decided that she was no longer unique, and it was time for a wardrobe change.

These are items Anou had in her inventory for quite some time, and I had been toying with the idea of putting them together. There are some warlock-specific tier pieces, combined with what looks like typical mage items, so the look will be more difficult to copy, but it remains smoky and very evil-looking. (I couldn't decide which screen caps were best, so I've chosen a whole slew of them to show the sinister feel I was going for.)

I like how the purple in the back of the helm matches the purple at the top of the cloak, yet the cloak has random blue gems inset that recall the glowing blue on the front of the outfit. The off-white in the cloak you may find a bit off, but I think it's neutral enough to be considered a match. I didn't feature the weapons in all the pictures, but basically, Power Torrent makes whatever you have equipped glow in various shades of pink and orange, so it doesn't really matter.

Following the Recipe

Rain of Fire. Check!

Summon Infernal. Prepare to Incinerate.

"Go, my demons! Destroy EVERYTHING!" /cackle

"Didn't I tell you to 'Destroy Everything?' "

"I put you in this world and I can take you out of it!"

Featured above: Dark Coven Hood, Dark Coven Shoulderpads, Drape of the Messenger, Raiments of the Corrupted, Pulsar Gloves, Vindicator's Mooncloth Belt, Buccaneer's Boots (yes, those trusty ole' things).

Update 11/09/2012

By the way, here is the perfect mount for this set!

The Frosty Flying Carpet!

Shadows and Darkness

This was the very first outfit I put together for transmogrification. It's sinister and smoky, perfect for a warlock, though maybe more for an affliction one as opposed to a destruction warlock. I like how the shoulders give off a smoky flame and the dark, purple colors of the outfit make me think of shadows and darkness.

The belt is a class-specific item available to mages, priests and warlocks. However, I have found that High Councillor's Sash has the same tones of purple, so it could work, although it's not as "angular" as the rest of the outfit, so I was glad to have this option. Also, Boots of the Malefic are also warlock-specific (and a pain to farm for), so you might just want to swap them out for Buccaneer's Boots which have the correct grey tone to them (not to mention you save a bank slot).

Featured above: Guldan's Shoulderpads of Triumph, Hallowed Garments, Handguards of Defiled Worlds, Ruthless Gladiator's Cord of Cruelty, Boots of the Malefic, Knife of Incision, Tome of Shadow Force.

Here is the same outfit, but with one of my favorite staffs: Abracadaver. I feel that the "spikiness" of the staff matches the shoulders perfectly. These two items both came out at the same time, so I imagine they were meant to match a bit.

Lastly, when I was using this outfit for T-mog, I also had Cape of the Black Baron equipped and displayed. It matches the shoulders perfectly and has a reddish-brownish-darkish color that fit as a cloak. Seeing as how the item is easy to farm, and I needed bank space, I sold it quite awhile back without realizing I didn't have any screenshots of it.

Pretty Corpse

Well, apparently I had one, except it kind of hurts my reputation as being a successful warlock. /cough

Update Aug. 21st, 2012: I just remembered what cloak Anou was wearing in this shot: Cape of the Black Baron.
