The Worst-Dressed Warlock

Here were the contest details:

Spellbound’s Worst Warlock Outfit Contest

Warlocks are evil creatures who dabble with the fel magics that most other people stay away from. Obviously this means we have a certain… image.. to uphold. It’s why our tier sets have huge spikes and skulls, and other awesome looking things. A Warlock should look good.
So let’s turn it around. Let’s find the worst possible Warlock outfit available in the game. Something that would make other Warlocks shun you and not let you near them. Something that would make your demon take one look at you and return back to the Twisting Nether laughing all the way.
Rules: Anyone can join in the fun. The outfit doesn’t have to be possible to transmogrify – use your imagination! – but it has to be things that a Warlock can actually wear/use (ie. cloth/daggers etc.)
Submission Date: The cut-off date for submissions will be 25 April, and winners will be announced by the following weekend.

Ok, so I was late and I missed the deadline of April 25th. :( But I really wanted to participate, so I put my outfit together, "knitted" all the stuff, scouted out a location, and this is what I got:

Maybe I can Polymorph this moth into a handbag...

Accessories

Although the rules stated it didn't need to be transmogable, I did want to put something together that could be, so it would feel more complete. Just the fact of bypassing a shoulder piece makes an outfit seem more casual and less sinister. Ultimately, I like the "I want to look like a sinister warlock" feel to the outfit, yet, the pants and boots make it look more like a melee class as opposed to a casting class, and the little bag of tricks combined with the jerkin says "amateur circus magician" to me.

Mellow Autumn Ensemble

Anoukisse loves the dark, smoky ambiance of the mages' library in the deeps of Orgrimmar. She can often be found there, perusing the dusty shelves.

For this set, any book will do, of course--it depends on what you have on hand, if you have a color preference, or simply how much bank space you have. Incidentally, the Dungeoneering Guide is an epic off-hand crafted by Scribes, and it is excellent for level 85 spell casters.

There will be a new post on neutral books in the Gowns and Accessories "Label" by next week!

By a Cozy Fire

Another stunning green set that I love, suits the winter season perfectly, though it's more of an indoors outfit. Almost each piece is a bright gem in the dull jewelry box that is Wrath of the Lich King (as far as gear goes, anyway). The “Christmas-y” green-and-gold on the shirt might also inspire you to wear it during Winterveil.

Tribal Priestess

If Zul'Farrak was ever good for anything it was this little gem: Bad Mojo Mask. At the time, it was an excellent upgrade for Anou, and I wore it and displayed it proudly. When came the time to replace it with something better, I just couldn't vendor it. Back then I wasn't into costumes and WoW Fashion but I knew that someday I would be glad to still have (and wear) it.

A very, very old screenshot of Anou and Thoglos. Circa May 2008.

Recently, as I sifted through the tons of clothing in my bank, I ctrl-clicked and had an inspiration: The Voodoo Priestess. She is just pure enough yet just scary enough. I held onto the robes because they were soulbound but didn't really know what to do with them. This seemed perfect. The weapons were spur of the moment decisions that can--should?--easily be replaced. A torch would be the perfect thing to be holding in these pictures.

P.S. The robe in the topmost screenshot is so pretty, I am going to try getting it back!

The Harbor Grill

Anou was invited out by a couple of friends, they met up at the Harbor Grill for drinks, so casual was key. This is another daily outfit, something I'd say can be worn in autumn, mostly because of the coloring. It's a mix of a couple of outfits, and all the pieces are being re-used to make a new outfit, thus saving precious bag space!

If you look closely, I changed her belt for the second photo, to show a different option. For the cooler weather, I like to wear this with Felheart Slippers, a warlock-specific tier piece.

Go Team GO!

These next screen shots are pretty self explanatory. However, let me sum-up. Anou has gone to see the Silvermoon Sunflames play a game of <insert creative Blood Elf sport name here>, and has dressed to support her team. The pants were a quest reward but can easily be replaced by Royal Trousers or Suppository Preventors (which are also a quest reward) if you already have those.

"Yoohoo! I'm over here! Look, I got us great seats!"

"That had to hurt."

The Colorful Kilt

Now, here is an item that presents a challenge: The Colorful Kilt. It looks like it belongs in a circus--or more specifically, on top of one. I've seen many people dress it up or dress it down, and can't say I was in any way convinced that Anou needed to have one in her already packed wardrobe. However, trying to put an outfit together around a belt I found on the Auction House, I found a place for it. (At least temporarily.)

Waiting for Dagrin

Featured above: Crimson Felt Hat, Black Mageweave Vest, Undercity Doublet, Ritual Belt, Colorful Kilt, Recruit's Boots, and Sulfur Stave.

"Dagrin, hurry up already!"

Featured above: Same outfit, accessories removed.

What I like about this outfit, is that the blacks and browns are all in the same hues, and they tend to lean toward the pinkish/redish/purples in the kilt. The Undercity Doublet adds matching sleeves to the vest, but you could as soon leave the arms bare. Basically, I find it pimpin' as a whole. (No pun intended.)
