Devil in Shadow

For the past month at least, Anou has been sporting this new look:

Negotiations Begin

Featured above: Shadowflame Mantle, Cataclysmic Gladiator's Felweave Raiment, Bombardment Bracers, Gloves of Penitence, Incineration Belt, Doomcaller's Footwraps, Sulfur Stave.

Azlikad, Anou's Wrathguard, seems to be going for a similar look, don't you think?

To complete the epic purpleness of this outfit, Anou has chosen her (recently) well-earned Corrupted Firehawk as mount of choice.

The Carousel Ride

While visiting the Darkmoon Faire this morning to get her daily fix of Whack-A-Gnoll, Anou rode the Carousel.

Yippeeee! I'm riding the Murloc!

Ten and Anou meet up for lunch!

Featured above: Battered Jungle Hat, Black Mageweave Vest, Bombardment Bracers, Runed Stygian Belt, Empowered Leggings, Knitted Sandals, Flesh and Bone, Green Brewfest Stein.

Although this wasn't the most perfect outfit, perhaps too busy, or not exactly the same shades/colors, I really wanted to throw something together to sport my hard-earned Runed Stygian Belt! ;)

Bank Alts

So, my first post of the new year (Happy New Year, by the way), bank alts.

Everyone who's anyone has a bank alt, whether it be a guild bank with old-world mats inside or simply a regular bank to horde a few odds and ends...

My bank alt is a level 84 hunter, so she can wear anything made of cloth, leather and mail. For this site however, I am sticking to cloth. This is her holiday outfit for this year, but she's always picking and choosing items in my guild bank's overflowing grey-quality gear tab.

The Bank Posse

Featured above: Red Winter Clothes, Lookout's Shoes, Wine Glass.

In the above screencap, Frost is posed with Auctioneer Sowata in Orgrimmar's Valley of Wisdom. It's her main haunt as the bank and mailbox are both within a mere few seconds of walking distance. Frost and Sowata have developed quite a haggling relationship over the years.

Pandaran Hiatus

Welcome fellow bloggers, roleplayers and other fashionistas! Anou's Armoire is currently on a short hiatus, pending the new and savage daily-fest that is WoW. -.-

Octavien, being my "main" for the guild (because he is a healer), is having to run a ton of dailies and dungeons to get rep to get gear and valor, and Anou, who is my "heart", is having to run dailies to get rep to get gear and enchanting recipes for Octavien and herself.

Furthermore, our guild is setting up to raid by next week, so I really have to crank it up to be ready on time.

A warlock's work is never done.

I am not abandoning this site, or your blogs, I just don't have enough time to get it all done. When the daily rhythm dies down a bit, I'll be back here with a few outfits I've already thought up... ;)

Octavien

Octavien is not a warlock. He is not a cloth wearer. But I absolutely had to show him off here at least once, so let's call this a Cameo Appearance.

Octavien is Anou's true love. He started as her devoted admirer, besotted by her demonic allure and now he has grown ten times more powerful and it is she who harbors that unilateral crush. (Learn more about Octavien.) Unfortunately, Anou must admire him from afar, as they can only communicate through mail and the written word. They will never be together. Poor Anou (/sadface)

Tee hee. ;)

Without further ado, here is Octavien in his Pandaren splendor:

Octavien and his loyal pup, Hound.

Featured above: Blood-Stained Pauldrons, Breastplate of the Witness, Renowned Guild Tabard, Fingers of Light, Goldtalon Clasp, Palewind Legguard, Stillheart Warboots, Massacre Sword.

I love the red and gold combination, and there is a hint of purple in the shoulders which carries into the pants and belt (which are a matching set). Lucky for Octavien, the Guild Tabard carries similar colors. Finally, the boots have a silvery-purple gradient in them that compliments the other items, making the look work. I did have a lot of trouble finding something to put on his feet, but I find the end result is pretty good. When I first found these shoulders, all I could think of was Chinese Dragons, so I stashed them in my bank. When MoP hit, I just knew I'd find a use for them!

The Princess Leia Saga

From one princesse to the other... Here's a unique way of displaying the now-famous Princess Leia-inspired bikini dress. Guest starring Mr. Grubbs cast as the evil Jabba the Hutt.

Jabba's Captive

Featured above: Robes of the Triumvirate, Gem Studded Bracelets, Pet Rope Leash.

Leia's Conquest

Featured above: Apprentice's Robe, Apprentice's Boots, Argent Avenger.

Alas, for those of you who didn't save the Argent Avenger from pre-WotLK, it's no longer available in game. Sorry! :(

Aye-Aye Captain!

Tee hee. I warned you! ;)
You knew there would be more pirate costumes. >:)

Here's a more somber set of gear inspired by the Admiral's Hat (which Anou spent days weeks farming for the recipe). Once again, this Warlock-turned-tailor poses in her dressing room for your admiration.

Not Just a Land Lubber

A More Distinguished Look

Featured above: Admiral's Hat, Embersilk Mantle, Balnazzar's Hide, White Swashbuckler's Shirt, Calico Gloves, Apothecary's Waistband, Apprentice's Pants, Buccaneer's Boots, Bazzalan's Blade.

The traditional pirate look is brought up a notch with shoulders and a matching cloak—giving it a one-piece look/feel to it. Admirals always have more to wear than their buccaneers, savvy, so your pirate is bound to evoke more respect this way. The red in the waist, shoulders and cloak also bring out the tiny red gem in the sword, which is a detail I really like.
