Octavien

Octavien is not a warlock. He is not a cloth wearer. But I absolutely had to show him off here at least once, so let's call this a Cameo Appearance.

Octavien is Anou's true love. He started as her devoted admirer, besotted by her demonic allure and now he has grown ten times more powerful and it is she who harbors that unilateral crush. (Learn more about Octavien.) Unfortunately, Anou must admire him from afar, as they can only communicate through mail and the written word. They will never be together. Poor Anou (/sadface)

Tee hee. ;)

Without further ado, here is Octavien in his Pandaren splendor:

I love the red and gold combination, and there is a hint of purple in the shoulders which carries into the pants and belt (which are a matching set). Lucky for Octavien, the Guild Tabard carries similar colors. Finally, the boots have a silvery-purple gradient in them that compliments the other items, making the look work. I did have a lot of trouble finding something to put on his feet, but I find the end result is pretty good. When I first found these shoulders, all I could think of was Chinese Dragons, so I stashed them in my bank. When MoP hit, I just knew I'd find a use for them!

The Princess Leia Saga

From one princesse to the other... Here's a unique way of displaying the now-famous Princess Leia-inspired bikini dress. Guest starring Mr. Grubbs cast as the evil Jabba the Hutt.

Alas, for those of you who didn't save the Argent Avenger from pre-WotLK, it's no longer available in game. Sorry! :(

Aye-Aye Captain!

Tee hee. I warned you! ;)
You knew there would be more pirate costumes. >:)

Here's a more somber set of gear inspired by the Admiral's Hat (which Anou spent days weeks farming for the recipe). Once again, this Warlock-turned-tailor poses in her dressing room for your admiration.

Not Just a Land Lubber

A More Distinguished Look

Featured above: Admiral's Hat, Embersilk Mantle, Balnazzar's Hide, White Swashbuckler's Shirt, Calico Gloves, Apothecary's Waistband, Apprentice's Pants, Buccaneer's Boots, Bazzalan's Blade.

The traditional pirate look is brought up a notch with shoulders and a matching cloak—giving it a one-piece look/feel to it. Admirals always have more to wear than their buccaneers, savvy, so your pirate is bound to evoke more respect this way. The red in the waist, shoulders and cloak also bring out the tiny red gem in the sword, which is a detail I really like.

Pink For October

JD Kenada is hosting a very generous Transmog Event, in which he says if enough people transmogrify their 'toons into pink outfits, he will donate $100.00 to a Breast Cancer fund.

'Nuff said.

Playing Pirate

Everyone loves a good pirate outfit, especially me. ;)  As seen in a previous entry, I have already written about Anou's pirate costume, but below, using items I mix and match with other outfits, you can see two very nice variations of the pirate theme!

Below, in her dressing room, Anou displays two takes on a red pirate outfit, very simple and easy to pull together.

Featured above: Outlander's Facewrap, White Swashbuckler's Shirt, Wisdom of the Timbermaw, Crimson Silk Pantaloons, Buccaneer's Boots, Uvuros Hide Gloves, Bazzalan's Blade.

As stated in previous posts, the gloves are the exact replica of Black Mageweave Gloves. The white pants can be replaced by the Aurora Pants when you've got the boots on. Basically, anyone can look like a pirate with those boots! Also, any rapier or scimitar will work, and there are plenty gray and common quality ones that aren't soulbound, which you can store in your "Closet Bank"!

There will surely be more pirate outfits to come. One can never have too many options! ;)
